Loro Parque

The Loro Parque is a theme park that offers visitors a new concept zoo with too many attractions to list and the largest parrot collection in the world.

In its 120,000 square metres you will enjoy dolphins, killer whale, sea lion and parrot shows, see one of the largest aquariums in Europe, a Bat Cave and see 200 penguins in an enclosure which reproduces their habitat at the South Pole.

A recently added attraction is the TREETOPS KATANDRA which reproduces a real Australian jungle, with suspension bridges in the treetops where you can feed the birds that go to meet you.

The most memorable experiences will come from the breathtaking, captive bred, dolphin and killer whales.

You´ll marvel at the incredible relationship between these mammals and their coaches.

Children will love KINDERLANDIA, the African adventure. Designed with maximum safety in mind for kids, here they find climbing areas and slides and 'the first Orca' - the kiddies train!

Also find Tiger Island, the Jaguar Crater, the Gorilla Jungle. crocodiles, flamingos, giant tortoises from the Galapagos Islands.

This park has excellent facilities for the animals and visitors alike and employs over 400 people - trainers, biologists, vets, gardeners and other staff. You´ll visit year after year!

Note: There is also a free mini train every 20 minutes that will let you explore Puerto de la Cruz, where tourism began in the Canaries.
