Declared a national park in 1954, Teide, is the largest and oldest national park in the Canary Islands.
In 1981, the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The park features the Teide-Pico Viejo (old peak) stratovolcano that, at 3,718m, is the highest peak on Spanish soil. This is a hike you won't want to miss!
